InspireAction |The Trash Can Edition
InspireAction, the public art initiative of the Tulsa Global District, brings creativity into everyday spaces, this time, through an unexpected canvas: trash cans.
In one of Tulsa’s most multicultural and dynamic neighborhoods, local artists were invited to transform ordinary trash cans into vibrant works of art. These custom-painted pieces now live outside small businesses, food trucks, and community hubs throughout the district.
This project is more than beautification—it’s about supporting local talent, bringing art closer to the people, and encouraging visitors to explore the district while celebrating its diversity.
The 15 decorated bins are placed in front of local shops, restaurants, and food trucks—inviting visitors to explore new corners of the district while keeping our streets clean and beautiful. It’s art with a purpose: to unite, uplift, and inspire.
Community Connection
A Small Canvas, A Big Impact
Through this project, InspireAction turns functional infrastructure into an opportunity for expression, visibility, and community building. It’s public art at its most accessible—visible to everyone, every day.
